OKS Group: Our History

The OKS Group was founded in 1985 by Vinit Khanna, with one singular vision: to provide companies with business process outsourcing services of the highest quality and at affordable cost. While much has changed since the company’s modest beginnings, the mission and values Vinit established at that time remain at the heart of OKS Group operations.

A pioneer in offshore service delivery, OKS Group began processing numerous projects for print and online publishers in the 1980s, with efficiencies that led to outstanding equity value creation for our customers and their shareholders. In 1998, Deloitte & Touche recognized OKS Group with a Fast 50 award, for being one of the top 50 technology companies achieving the fastest rates of annual revenue growth. We went on to be distinguished as member of the Fast 50 for six years in a row.

With a commitment to expanding the capabilities that could be provided to each customer, while maintaining the highest level of quality and service standards, OKS Group opened operations in Europe as well as expanding in Asia, and has continued to grow to meet evolving customer demand.

In the last decade alone, OKS Group has invested significantly in people, know-how, and specialized technology through building and acquiring the best possible resources and tools to deliver new content-related capabilities to our customers.

In 2009, OKS Group incorporated a team of publishing experts by bringing on Alden Pre-Press – now OKS Publishing – thereby leveraging Alden’s 175-year experience with our cutting edge technology and growing global presence, able to serve publishers of any kind throughout the US, UK, Europe and beyond.

OKS Group acquired Exactus – now OKS Legal – with its exceptional team of attorneys and support staff in order to provide legal services and research to law firms, companies and publishers.

Over the years the company has taken on additional publishing assets in order to enhance our publishing solutions by adding customers, new technology, processes, and management. We have expanded into tablet-based education and learning services, providing eLearning solutions to better serve our academic and corporate educational markets.

OKS Group has continued to invest in proprietary technology tools as digital devices and web data sources offer opportunities to create and deliver superior information products for our customers and theirs.

We are so invested in our customers’ success that we have put equity into client businesses directly, to help them grow faster and more reliably, even as we continue to invest in our own people and facilities, including significant operations in Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai.
